Walnut Creek Swim Team Registration Form > Bring this filled out at time of sign-up. The front desk will have extras for those that forget but it will be a quicker sign-up if you have this filled out. Meet Schedule > Practice Schedule> Participants have an opportunity to learn advanced swimming skills in a competitive environment. The YMCA Swim Team will build self-esteem, discipline and responsibility. The swim team competes with teams in the surrounding metro area. We will be swimming in the Central Iowa Swim Conference. (Teams: Ankeny, Newton, Waukee, Okaloosa, Grinnell, Marshalltown, Knoxville, Pella and Walnut Creek) Swim Meets will be on Tuesday evenings in the surrounding Central Iowa Area. Registration opens for Current Walnut Creek Swim Team Members on Wednesday, May 5 Registration will open for NEW swimmers on Tuesday, May 25 New Parent Meeting at 6:00pm FEES: $100.00 YMCA Members $200.00 Non-Members YMCA Swim Team Prerequisites: 25 yards each of a LEGAL Freestyle and Backstroke (unassisted); 25 yards of the Breaststroke Kick (and knowledge of the full stroke); Knowledge and understanding of the Butterfly Stroke Family Fun for the Summer...as in Tradition The Furbush Family will host Age Group/Family Parties at their Lake Home June 19th AND 26th: 13 and Up Swimmers July 3rd: 11 -12 Swimmers July 10th: 9-10 Swimmers July 17th: 8 and Under Swimmers Parties begin at 1pm; please RSVP to Coach Kim by the Friday prior!
